Longer rear spring bolts
I posted pictures of my new wheels and sidepipes and the discussion led to lowering the back to reduce the wheel well reveal. I ordered the longer bolts ... 8 inch .... and installed them. Alan said he had heard that it would only result in the rear being lowered by 1/2 of the 2 inches of longer bolt. Well ..... here is the results. Alan ..... get ready in the wings to take a bow. To start with the bolts were only 1 1/2 inches longer. After installation the car now sits ....... drumroll please ...... 5/8 inch lower. A total waste of $22.00 and the resulting busted knuckles while laying on the cold garage floor. I have decided to be happy with what I now call the California rake .... you old guys will remember this term from "back in the day".
