Was trying to install the second spring for the door hinge, on the drivers side. The first one on the passenger side was a piece of cake.....
Still lots of Lithium grease smeared around, I'll get that cleaned up...
Couldn't get the spring to go in the bottom notch on the drivers side, I could feel that it needed to come back about 1/2 the width of the spring to slide into the notch......so, I took a piece of rope and looped it around the front side of the bottom part of the spring and pulled with all my might This picture shows a scrap piece of 12-2 wg romex wire.....would work better than rope. But it was all I had at the time.
.....bingo, she popped right in place. Then I could get the special spring screw driver tool in and drive the spring up and in to its final position.
Man it's nice having doors that actually stay in one of the chosen positions, full open or half closed.....aahhhh!!

And that's where most of it ends up, on the outside, doing no good.
LOL....true, but I put so much on it, around it, over it, under it, thru it, guess that's why I made such a mess, surely I got some in the right spot?
They sure open and close nice and smoooooooth!
