Default New T-Tops

I just installed the new T-tops that I've had sitting around waiting for their moment to shine. I followed the adjustment instructions...seemed to work well for alignment, etc. However, the weatherstrip seems bulky and won't allow the glass to sit flush with the top of the car. I'm sure someone here has a remedy. I'm waiting for your suggestions. Thanks!!

First of all, let it sit for a while with the t-tops fully latched. Let them seat. Then re-evauate. They will setup a bit until they get worn in. Assuming that the installed strips were done correctly.

Hi,
I agree!
I found that after sitting closed for a couple of weeks that the door and roof panel weatherstrip compresses enough that the doors and panels can be re-adjusted for better gaps.
Regards,
Alan

Make sure the side glass isn't adjusted too high. I had new t-top weatherstrips installed and several months later I noticed the weatherstripping was torn along the length of the side window because the side window pushed too hard on the weatherstrip causing it to gradually seperate. I had the dealership install my weatherstripping thinking they'd do a better job and if it was done wrong I could get it done over - big mistake, 90 day warranty on repairs and I didn't notice the damage until the warranty period was past.

First, I agree with giving it some time and readjusting.

But if they're glass tops, they WON'T sit flush with the halo.
The instructions for the original factory glass tops even warn about this stating they're designed to sit approximately 1/8" above the rear roof panel.
And that's if you're lucky.

Do not attempt to get glass tops flush with the halo panel.

As it stands, I'm pretty much there. Mine are ~1/8" above the rear roof. However, this differs from what came from the factory. The tops on the two previous Corvettes I had sat nearly flush with the roof.
