Default Intake Question

I am trying to figure out a plan of action for swapping from the aftermarket hood that was put on my 71 back to the stock look. But the previous owner changed a few things under the hood, different carb and intake. I have searched several air cleaners to see if i can use one of those, but that seems like a band aid on the problem. I haven't gotten a chance to measure what the intake height is yet, but I would like to know what a stock 71 intake height would be?

Thanks,
Jay

Are you looking to install a GM stock 1971 flat hood ? If so I have a GM original 1971 flat hood. I live in the Dertoit suburbs area. PM me if you might be interested. You also have the option of installing a GM LT1 / 454 hood. It will give you a little more hood clearance than the stock flat hood. You also have the option of installing a GM original 1968/ 1968 427 L88 hood. The L88 hood provides 2 inches more clearance than an L88 hood.
I have a big block in my 72 so I cannot give you any measurments. There should be a lot of forum members who can provide the information you are looking for.
