Well, here's the deal. My father-in-law has had this corvette for probably 15 years. At least 10 years ago, he installed a new radiator and NEVER started it again. He also never filled the radiator with antifreeze. The car has been sitting in his driveway until this past weekend when I had it hauled to my garage. I cleaned it up the best I could and it's looking pretty good, but I have not attempted to start the engine.
#'s matching L48, Bright Blue, Black interior, Automatic, Rally wheels
Does anyone have an idea on what it's worth? I would assume the tank needs to be pulled and cleaned/replaced, the engine and tranny gone through, and what else? I am considering buying it from him but don't want to get into a money pit.
My father-in-law is very sick and on the lung transplant list. That is why I am trying to get it ready to sell. He envisions the car the way it was 10 years ago on the road, so his perceived value is way off.
I would ask $7,000. It looks great and if its been garage stored then even better. Whats the milage? Only thing I dont like is the front and rear rims dont match.
Mileage reads 30,128 but I would assume 130,128 but have no idea. The rally rims are the same, just different center caps which is an easy fix.
About 45 miles outside STL, so it hasn't gone far from it's birthplace.

I bought mine(77) 5 yearsr ago in driveable condition for 7500 with 47k miles..in org condition.
I have over 35k in mine.. and not putting another penny in mine..
Don't assume that the clock had turned over. I think I'd assume the opposite considering how long it's been sitting around.
See if the engine turns. Not with the starter, but manually. If so...good.
I think it looks pretty good, and considering the family connection, 4 to 5 K should make everyone happy as long as all the usual problems aren't there.
These SBC are tough engines.Change all fluids, tuneup it just might surprise you and run great.Same with the auto trans.Great thing about these cars is you can get just about any part you'll ever need. This forum is a wealth of information.Just saw a post here about reviving a long sitting car.It had a great pre-starting check list.
Vette looks great in the pics, would make a really nice driver.
