Messing with paint colors
It's a ways off yet before I spray our '77 but another thread here made me start thinking about what our car would look like in different colors. This is a non-numbers car so we're going to have some fun with it.
Originally, our plan has been black with a red interior (interior is now black). We may stick with this plan but I've been thinking about some colors to go with the black interior.
These are pretty crude renderings, so my apologies for that.
1) Maybe a burnt orange color? My rendering isn't exact obviously, but would be this House of Kolor paint.
2) Maybe more of a gold color?
This is the fun part Still working on some other color ideas, so I'll post those up and we put them together.
Would appreciate your thoughts,
Adam

I like the Orange. especially with that "Candy" look. I love red and as many many many car owners will tell you, you can't go wrong with red. But you do become another red car.

No matter how many opinions you solicit on paint color, it's purely a personal taste decision.
Speaking of which, if you go back to your original plan, I like black with the original black interior way better than with red.

The orange you showed looks like a Chrysler color, "Mango Tango"; I painted my son's Wrangler that color last summer. I really like it, lots of effects in it. I am not sure how a vette will run wearing Dodge colors, though

I don't have an X-box so just using Photoshop in between work jobs. If I can narrow it down to a couple of colors that my wife and I like I'll do a couple of detailed color renderings using those.
Great way to see what colors work etc.
House of Kolor does have a virtual paint booth program which you can buy, but from what I saw there in only one C3 in the program and it's a bumper car which doesn't really help us on color choice. The chrome parts on those cars make a big difference on how a color looks with the rest of the car.
