A good friend who's helping me with my build (another boat guy like me) told me today he wants to sell his 1970 350/350 4 spd convertible. Frame off resto, factory yellow with black interior. I've seen the car, it's beautiful and a legit #'s matching car. Computers and the internet are something he does NOT do.He's a little older than me, (I'm 53) and gave me all the pics, I mean photographs, of the entire restoration.
I have two problems, one, I asked him what he wants for the car and he does'nt know, two, no images right now. I spoke with him today and he agreed to bring it by so I can post pics.
I had told him I could try to find a price, but I don't want to get in hot water with the moderators by posting the car without a price.
Car is out here in eastern Long Island in the Hamptons. (no jokes please, some of us work for a living.) If there is a forum member out here that can look at the car and assist him, one of you guys will most likely end up with a sharp example of 70 vert for a fair price. Did I mention he's also got the hardtop?
Feel free to PM me as I would like to keep this open to forum members. Thank's, Vince
So post it in the General section as a 'What's it worth thread'. Without pics it sounds like a $25K-$33K car, but the market is still pretty soft.
If you do that you should get lots of opinions (some will contradict ) but this sounds like it could be a really nice car. A chrome bumper convertible 350/350 4 speed with nice colors even in this depressed market is still very desireable.

I would love to see some good pictures of this car. 350/350 4 speed is my favorite setup...I prefer it over my 4 speed BB.
Hi LIC3,
There are many, many, knowledgable Corvette people in the N.J., N.Y., Conn., L.I., area.
If this car is as serious as you descrbe, I don't think the market for 70 350/350 convertible will be soft.
People will need to see the facts, and pictures, to get them interested.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
