RUN. Run away fast!
I assume your motorcycle works, and therefore is a much better source of transportation than this car.
Not only does it not have a transmission, it has no alternator, no radio, and the master cylinder is not sealed shut. You're looking at $4,000 MININUM just to get the car running safely. And that's IF the transmission goes in without a problem and the engine is otherwise solid (and that's a big 'if')

Seriously, we don't know what kind of bike you have, but if you can sell it and take the cash toward a different 'vette you would probably be way ahead. To get that car even on the road safely, much less looking good, you would have WAY more money into it then it is worth.
I'd trade him a bicycle for it if I needed a parts car. If a body mount is rusted, there's no telling what else is rotten.
And I'd almost guarantee that he's more than one part away from having a complete 5 speed swap kit. That is a non-trivial project and I can't imagine anyone getting too far along in the procurement of everything with a car being that far gone and needing so much else.
I agree with everyone...pass. Unless you don't ride the bike and you are looking for a project car, this does not appear to be worth it. I can't really tell, but it looks like the inside has water damage and molding. Ergo, lots and lots of rust in places you can't see.

That car is loaded with parts down to the smallest stuff. I see whole cars parted out on ebay and there isn't much that doesn't sell. Parts are worth more than the whole when it comes to salvage. That's why salvage yards make a killing.

Don't get me wrong, I love guys who part out their cars. I've bought many a scarce part from them. But it takes a while to make your money. You won't be driving a vette for a long time if you go this route.
