LOL....from the insurance sticker and the condition of the interior, I would say the car was stolen, stripped and dumped. Some tagger with a spray can really took his time doing the grafiti on the car as it was sitting abandon under a bridge.
Oh cool another boring corvette trashing thread...
To answer your question "WHY?" well, there was a time that people liked to personalize their vette, they didn't want to be cookie cutter sheep in the flock, they didn't want their car to be a clone of the last fellows,
A few people still build to suit themselves not others,
Sure it might not be mine or your cup of tea but then again they might not like our cars either.
On this OT car...could be worse could be rebel flags....

Lol oh man I hope not but I am sure your right. I guess the car did come from the 70's the same time as disco so it makes sense that the cars would be just as crappy as that stupid disco fad
But then again the 70's also had some bad a$$ rock an roll bands and the 454s factory in vettes!

I had a neighbor a few years back who owned a '63 "back in the day" (late 60's). He said the first thing they did to it was remove the "silly looking bar" from the back and install a '64 rear window. Years later he is still wishing he never modified it or later sold it.
Of course if no one modified so many of them over the years, the original survivors would not likely be as valuable today!

NOT COOL MAN! don't diss the rebel flag! i almost painted it on the roof of my 91 dodge shadow! but we ended up moving to a redneck town with some KKK type people so i decided BEDLINER instead! it's more practical anyways
