Color choice.. opinions?
So after much debate in my house I was told by the woman that we have come to a final color choice. I decided just to spray a small section on the fender to see how it looks. She likes it so i suppose thats all that really matters but im not a huge fan of orange so i just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Never mind the underlying body work, its not complete yet by a long shot.

Well I dont like orange so to me it doesnt look right.. but since im not driving it and its for the wife, I figured i would ask others opinions.. and since it has brown interior its a bit tough to find a paint color to go with it.. I do remember from basic art classes that orange and brown work together.
I just wanted opinions to if it would look decent in other corvette peoples opinions....

I agree with you that it looks off. Though once it is complete and there is no more base body grey color showing. I think it will look amazing. Orange is a great color for the c3 it compliments the curves better than lets say White too Boring(jmo). Besides if you wanna be happy keep your lady happy. If its her car for her to drive give her the orange.

Ahh, I didn't realize it was her car. I do like the orange. There's 3 colors I don't really care for: white, silver and bronze. Can't understand why silver is the most popular car color in America.

Silver is the most popular color because it's the easiest to keep clean and scratches don't so up as much.

The facts.
It was originally sold in tampa
it was originally tan (yuk!)
its an L-82 4spd with a/c
now for the uncovering stuff...
Its first respray was to orange (seems to have had a pass side fender replacement) that i am assuming was because of an accident.
It was then painted white....
then it was parked in a warehouse and the engine was removed.. and lost somewhere... the paint was stripped down..
the car was left for dead inthe warehouse since 1999 that i can verify...
It was uncovered and given to me. With all the pieces sans the engine. I have a few engines around my shop that i can choose from and needless to say this is not my first rodeo around cars.. just my first time with C3 vettes.. There interesting to say the least.
So far i have gone through and repaired/rebuild all the wire harness's, gutted the interior, cleaned, dynamatted and repaired/rebuilt interior harness's along with the vac lines.
brakes are off and waiting on replacement calipers and hoses. waiting to set an engine in place so i have some weight on the car to make dealing with front springs a bit easier so i can put new bushings and such in the front end.
In a passing convo the wife said that the mid 70's were her favorite vettes before the bubble back window.. before she knew i had this thing. (it sits in my shop away from my home) so i decided that i would put it back together and give it to her. ( i have camaros and i love them) Its time for her to have a fun car. Currently she races autocross in the STS class in a purpose built 89 honda CRX so i will be excited to see her face when she drives somethign with a bit of toque in it... like my favorite motto.. "Horesepower is only king because torque says it can be"
