Hey guys , I could have swore I saw a thread about this somewhere and can't find it.
Factory Delco Am/Fm radio in my 73 not working , not really bothering me too much but the wife needs music not created by Magna-Flo... Lol
Anyways , took the radio out and now the courtesy lights are not working.
What I thought I read was the two are related somehow....Anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks again

They are not related. The stereo uses the dash light circuit for dial illumination. Gray wire on the factory plug.
I'm not sure what all is on the fuse with the courtesy lights, but I know for certain (at least with my 72) that the lighter is on it. The lighter always has power, so it's very easy to short out (unless you do things by the book, and disconnect the battery negative cable!), thereby blowing the fuse, and stopping the courtesy lights from working. I think that the clock power might be on the same fuse also, so maybe you shorted that, and blew it. But anyway, my money is you shorted one of the orange always-on power connectors, and blew the fuse. I'm not sure what it says, but for me, it's the top left fuse in the box.
I checked the fuses first thing and didn't notice any problems but will re-check.
Thanks

Does the lighter, and the clock work? They are on the same fuse, so if either of them work, then the fuse isn't the problem. If they don't work, then I would bet that the fuse is the issue.
