I finally got my Corvette shipped from Colorado. It still needs some work, but all the major components run great. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions, as there is a lot of loose wiring laying all over the place.
Sweet, looks like she's a keeper.....your gonna have sooooo much fun......and your gonna get so mad........your gonna be sooooooo happy, and your gonna cry.....

so much fun and frustration is ahead for you... brace yourself! But in the end you will have a sweet ride. First things first:
1. go to ecklers.com or another parts house, hopefully one that supports the forum and get an AIM (assembly instruction manual). It shows everything on how the car was assembled at the factory.

Congratulations on your new 68 It looks like you have the makings a very nice car there. Looks like a high horse tach with a 350 horse. Have fun with it and hopefully you can drive it while you work on it.

So correct, at times not sure if car is blessing or curse.
BTW great looking car! My 68 came from Colorado in August as well. Take it from someone who is learning as well.....read, read, read... boards and vendors have so much information, check what people tell you, it may save you from a mistake.
Excellent car to begin with. It's good to see more and more Vette lovers getting new ones and sharing with us. You're gonna have a lot of work/fun ahead for sure. As many have said, find out all the info you can and be very careful who you listen to. Welcome and enjoy your new C3.
Thanks everyone! Already fixed a charging problem, now I need to work on the sticking gas pedal.
First easy thing to check (I like "easy"), take the air cleaner lid and base off and see if it still sticks. Sometimes the throttle cable carb attachment gets hung up on the air cleaner base. Mine was, I bent it slightly and no more sticky gas pedal.

Hi DKD,
There certainly is a LOT to like in those pictures!!!!
I'll bet you're really excited, and I think you're in for some big fun.
In addition to the AIM that Sully mentioned consider buying the GM 1968 Chassis Service Manual. It's really a big help when working on a 44year old car.
GOOD LUCK!
Regards,
Alan
