Hey gang,
I'm a bit of a novice. My 1969 is leaking coolant on the ground on the passenger side near the side pipe. Now car running too hot. The car had some work done and the coolant topped off. I thought it could be overflow, but too much came out and the engine to hot. Any help on what could be causing it and how to fix would be appreciated. Dan
I had heads and intake removed and painted. I'm thinking the problem could be the thermostat not functioning properly? May not be opening up and causing overflow to kick in and lose fluid?
You had the heads and intake removed just to have painted?!
Yikes... Breaking open engine seals is not something I do unless it's absolutely necessary.
My money is on incorrect gasket installation or prep and now you have a head or intake gasket leak.
