Good morning Galeel. I traced the problem back to my new choke, it was still getting power. I made sure all the connections were good then changed a fuse and problem corrected. I still have not put on the battery disconnect but for short money it is worth it instead of having to deal with a dead battery. Good luck man.

Galeel, it turned out to be a bad 'positive battery cable'. Hooked a jumper from the positive terminal directly to the starter and the car would start up every time I did this. Swapped out the cable with a new one and have had no problems ever since. Hope this helps.
