I went to my buddy's place today to use his lift. We rubuilt the power steering system and took off at least three pounds of caked on grease, oil and dirt from the suspension and steering components. This concludes the projects I wanted to get done before summer. And I only went 33% over budget! The kids don't really need a college education, do they?
I did a little of that this weekend as well.
Amazing how much crud builds up on the steering rack , like you said, about 2/3 pounds of sheer crud and it looks a whole lot nicer.
Still more to do but it was real nice out today and beer got the better of me in the end!!

Teach them how to work on cars. No one will be able to afford a new one a few years from now, so if they can make an old car functional, they'll always be in demand!
