WOW. What a dramatic difference! Turned out great.
When I was a kid my brother took me for rides in his '68 and I'll never forget those fiber optic lights on the dash. I thought that was soooo high tech. Very cool.
Keep up the good work!

I used the correct color code from Corvette America. I have used it on several parts and always matches and looks good. It's Dark Orange, the car will be corvette bronze. I am putting it back to the original codes. Hopefully the body will come off this summer. Than it's time for the chassis.

Thanks for the positive feedback. This is what keeps me going. It also keeps me striving for good results because I know you guys will call me out to improve things if needed. I do welcome honest feedback. Please keep in mind that I am restoring original parts and only replacing if I fail at the refinishing process. The only repo parts on the console are the 4 speed plaque, HVAC lens and the upper fiber obtic lens.
Regards,
Peter

It wouldn't be
fair to give you anything but
positive feedback .
If that's what
keeps you going just continue posting
before and after pictures like these.
Good luck going foward.

Not to hijack the thread, but what are you doing to it? I haven't removed mine yet. Looks like the original tire might still be in it.
