It goes on with a roller just like paint. Has the look of a dealer showroom floor. Easy to clean, doesn't chip or come up. The secret is to PREP the cement the correct way prior to install. I have spilled all kinds of liquids even muriatic acid. Just wipe up. I also have drooped hammers and things with no troubles. Plus once it's done. Never have to deal with it again.

I put cardboard under my car and then duct tape the edges down so it doesnt move. Part of this reason is that it will catch the various drips, leaks or cleaning if I move the car around the garage some. Also, it helps with the cleanup. Since the cardboard will also absorb some of the liquids I may use when doing brake jobs, oil changes, etc, it can then be easily removed and disposed of. Keeping the garage clean, and reducing the amount of cleaning materials and rags I may have to use other wise.

daanbc is right on. I epoxied my floor, 1300sf, 5 years ago and it worked out great. Prep of the existing concrete is the biggest pita but it ensures a good result. I used the Rustoleum 2 part epoxy from HD. The only change I'd make if I did it again would be to omit the fleck stage. It looks great except in the first spot I began flinging the flecks on. I was too exuberant and got them a little thick. It really didn't turn out to be a problem but I do know it's thick in that small area. Nobody else would probably notice unless I told them. This stuff is tough and I've parked a lot of hot tires on it with no adverse results at all.

Vinyl flooring rolls ...got em from Costco online. Huge diff....if for nothing else then for those times u want to kneel down next to the car or look underneath while still in u'r good clothes. Plus it keeps down the moisture from the cement.

Here it is under the vette & the unfurled roll is next to the GrandmaMobile waiting to be installed.

Painted concrete and a strip of carpet under each C3. They do not leak, just there to absorb in case they do. The space rug between the 68 & 73 is for my yellow lab when he works with me in and around the cars

On an old "Indian Rug" from Pakistan...my parents had it downstairs and unfortunately, mice got at one end which was by the wall...so, instead of throwing it out, under the car it went! Looks classy on the carpet in our garage.

I keep my 81 in a 12' X 28' wood shed, I have the wooden floor covered with wall to wall carpet removed from my daughters house when she replaced all her carpets.

I'm a big fan of carpet, very comfy when working under the vette.

i live on the 35th floor of a 44 floor , twin-tower complex

the underground semi-heated parking, is larger than the flight deck of an aircraft carrier & the floor is this black material

best part is the coin car-wash, at the one corner, open 24/7 ...no excuse for a dirty machine

oh & security patrol 24/7 on electric golf-carts...don't even hear them coming

Pete.

Well, from what I have learned, a large plastic sheet on a cement floor will prevent moisture from coming up. I also placed carpeting over the sheet and both are wider and longer than the vehicle. My garage is also heated so I guess that helps. Liked some of the floors I saw. Might go with the expoxy.

I put the epoxy down when we first moved in and I am completely hooked. I've had various 'drips' from the Vette and other items that wipe right up even if they've been on the ground for 2 weeks. I still place a piece of cardboard under the car just to save the wiping up, but I'm no longer concerned about any spills or leaks. Best $150 I could have spent.
