I cannot seam to be able to find a kit to rebuild the windows, bushing ect. I know there out there just can't put my finger on the correct parts I would need. I also understand 68 did not have anti rattle shims, wonder could they be retro fitted?
Hi d,
I see CC and ZIP both offer a window track lift arm rebuild kit. Is that what you're looking for?
I think I'd make a list of just the individual parts I need, and order them seperately. $
Sorry, I don't know about the rattle cushion in 68.
Regards,
Alan
Hi Willcox,
I certainly wish you had a catologue!!!! I'd have mentioned you TOO!
Having grown up with hard copy, I can find stuff much faster in the 4 catologues I use than on the net.
Regards,
Alan
Hello Wilcox, yes I tried searching your site, but I'm chanledged unless its got pics LOL, I think I sent an email to your site requesting info as well about a week ago, any way your parts pic looks good and is indeed what I'm looking for, you know any thing about the felt strip at the tops of my doors as well, can 69 anti rattle parts be retro fitted. Thanks, Mike

Why would you want to do this? You're probably aware already that the '68 uses whiskers rather than rubber wipes as window seals. The inner wiskers are attached to a long bracket that adjusts in and out to hold the window in place and keep it from rattling back and forth. When the Corvette went to the rubber wipes, they weren't firm enough to hold the window in position so the anti-rattle brackets and pads were added to handle this function.
Unless you're planning to go to a later design door panel and window seals, the anti-rattle pads shouldn't be necessary.
