Tonight I thought I would jab the throttle from a stand still but shortly after take off it feels like you lost a couple of cylinders then picks back up then looses power again?? Weird.. I installed the fuel pressure gauge from DCS and at idle I have 10 psi, when you blip the throttle it drops a little.. Any ideas?? I'm thinking fuel related, maybe don't have enough pump??

The problem you describe is the same as I had on my 84 with Cross Fire. The intake manifold sucks and those 2 dinky throttle bodies suck. I imagine you're going to spend a ton of time trying to get rid of that hesitation, thinking back I don't believe we ever completely got rid of it.

Check your torque on the bolts on the top half of the manifold. I had this happen on an 82 once. It was sucking more air than it needed and caused a hesitation. It's worth a try.

Had a box body chevy caprice 1990 do the same thing
you should have 14psi .you can try adj the rear throttle body but i would bet your pump is weak.if your car is idleing okay [650 in gear ]it does not sound like a vac leak.
how much gas was in the tank? also sounds like the exact problem I encounter when im below about a quarter tank and punch it, fuel gets sloshed back momentarily and fuel delivery drops till it splashes back
Well I checked the throttle body plate to manifold bolts and found a few bolts that were able to be tightened a little. Also here is a clue possible. The gas tank was low when falling on it's face and today I filled up and got on it and it didn't do it. Another thing going to the gas station while turning corners it was like turning off the key for a split second then coming back. The gauge was showing under a 1/4 but only took 16.3 gallons to fill it and I think these have a 24 gallon tank meaning I still had 8 gal. in the tank. Possible a pick up issue?? I'm gonna drive it to work in a little bit and will try it again..

yup, mine has done that in my '82 for the 6 yrs I've had it. I don't think there is an effective sump or baffles in the tank. whenever I get below 1/4 tankish if I floor it or take a hard corner the rpms drop then pick right up. I figure its just from the pickup design, its low enough to get close to the bottom of the tank but with no restraint design on the fuel if its low enough any type of acceleration on the fuel pushes it to the side retarding any fuel flow momentarily. now whenever I wanna punch it I just make sure its near full. On the bright side when my gas gauge quit working i would just take a hard corner and if the engine choked down momentarily I knew it was time for gas
