Is it possible that all frame didn't get a number? My resto book said most of them were stamped. Don't know how true that is but maybe it is because I can't find any numbers on mine at all

Hi h,
While it's possible a frame didn't get stamped, I'd think it's VERY unlikely.
Depending on the condition of the frame they can be very difficult to see even with the body off.
Regards,
Alan

I've seen a couple of frames where the numbers were gone but the indentations that machine in Mike's picture made could still be felt.

Frame is great shape. I will look again. It might be under the fuel line or vapor line. I didn't take anything off yet. The frame still has the black paint on it so I don't think is rusted away. I am the only owner and never really took it out in bad weather. 65 thousand miles on her

Found it! It was right where the picture shows. The second one has not been found yet.

The same assembly line worker using the same machine made both stamps. Second one is also on the top of the frame rail in the rear in the area of the #4 body mount. Karol's pic shows one.

You may have to clean off some road gook to see it.
