Lower valance extension
Im buying the lower valance panel for my 82. I also see there is a spoiler or extension for it and it's not cheap. I was wondering is this purely looks or does this spoiler/extension have a purpose or function?

There are actually three pieces. One is the extension (air dam or valance) that's the triangle shaped piece direclty under the car and forward of the radiator. The other two are the extensions. These pieces direct air into the radiator. Without them, more air goes under the car reducing air through the radiator and typically contributes to or causes temp issues.
