So, just when all the winter car projects got done and the weather started to warm up, the city decides to repave my street. Don't get me wrong, it really needed to be done, and I'm glad they're doing it, but the vette has been a prisoner in the garage for three weeks now. The drop down from the driveway to the street is too steep, and even if it wasn't, the dust is terrible.
I'm dying here!
But think of how smooth that road will be when done.
I was in MI a few weeks ago helping with family matters. Most of the roads in the downriver area were in pretty bad shape. I know my 92 with its lowered suspension would be a very bumpy ride.

Yeah, brand new, smooth pavement.......and next summer, they'll probably tear it up and put it new sewer lines or something. I'm tellin' ya, the world is run by knuckleheads!

Keep the shiny side up!

They did that exact thing on my Mom's street. Paved the whole street - was awesome... soooo smooth. 2 months later, came back and dug up the center of it for the entire length of the street and put in new sewer pipe.
