68 shifter plate chrome
I am re painting my 68 shifter plate and am wondering if someone can tell me which areas do I expose the chrome on? I know about the raised letters but which of the raised borders? Is it just the one around the whole part or also the 4 individual areas inside the outside border? A picture would be ideal. thanks!

Nice job, but most likely painting over the chrome without treating the area first for adhesion will lead to the paint flaking off. I taped off all the good chrome areas on my 69 and then lightly sandblasted the areas to be painted, this gave the primer and then the black something to grab on to.
