Default Console Armrest

Thinking about getting one of these
http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=15272

Anyone have one? Does it just sit on the console, and does it stay in place?
Thanks!

They came with the cars, so I would think almost everyone has them.

The rear of the cussion flares out, and wedges behind the back of the seats, that is how they stay in place.

They work great, I think it would be very uncomfortable to drive without one. The only problem with mine is the sun, and how hot it gets, but I just flip it over whenever I get in the car and it's been in the sun.

Don't think, just buy it, Makes a surprising difference in comfort
Just wedges behind the seats, no drilling, no tape, no anything
Option GM forgot to provide
Check around for a used one but worth the price of a new one

There were never any e-brake cushions sent from the factory...all aftermarket parts. But, if you want to keep your e-brake housing from getting broken into 40 pieces, you need one. And, they are very comfortable during longer drives.

Hmm... comfy? I'm sold!
What about the cupholder that fits just in front of that.
Any opinions?

Unless you're 5'5" and 120#, they don't leave any room for your hips.

I tried one of the wood ones, and I couldn't fit in my seat.

Still trying to figure out a good drink holding system.
Any body have any suggestions??

That arm rest did not come with the car. It was an option you could purchase from one of the suppliers. Ie. Wilcox, ecklers, etc. I purchased mine from ecklers in the colour i needed.
Great spongy arm rest, especially on a long run. It just sits on top of the stock haard plastic one and does stay in place.

You could get something like this, and use your imagination on where to mount it. Inside the glove compartment, maybe? Open the glove compartment, and BAM! There's a drink holder.

I've been thinking of going retro with one of these.

If I could find something nice, like they make for the C5/C6 aftermarket crowd, I'd go with that. But I can't find anything that is functional yet cosmetically nice.

Closest thing I've found to usable right now is one of those travel buddies that goes on the passenger side

I don't think my wife would appreciate that.

I can't even get her to hold my drink, let alone a travel buddy.
