i really dont know my guess is what you posted something may have been suppose to be done (maybe the famouse C3 body not perfectly sqaure on the frame) and was not, must be a good sticker since its still there all these years

According to my friend Mark, old school chevy dealer C3 mechanic, if you had to remove the door panel for warranty service you had to attach the part of the sticker that says attach to repair to prove you were in there.

Yes! It was actually proof to Chevrolet that the dealer's warranty claim was real...they had to send in the tag with the part claimed under warranty.
Are you sure?? my car has these stickers, I thought it was something that was put on in the factory during assembly. I worked for chev during 1969-1970, we didn't stick anything on during warranty repairs.

Old timer at work also confirmed this. He said they stopped putting those stickers on sometime in the 80's
