Default 1972 LT1 W/air spotted

I was at the Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa IL today at lunchtime. Spotted a chrome bumper vette sitting in the front row. I wasn't sure of the year so I had to check it out. I walked to the front and seen the amber parking lights so I realized it was a 72. Then I looked up. The paint was faded on the hood but the LT1 hood and stripes were there. Looked around the car and the paint was untouched and no doubt original in very good but faded condition. Walked over and looked in. The car was Pewter Silver Metallic with a black interior and A/C. Leather Seats were a little cracked but in good shape. 71,000 on the odometer. Car looked like it was still all totally original throughout and in very good but "aged" condition. Good to see this rare car in a rare color still totally unrestored and being driven.......... with the t-tops off.

The LT-1 was still a solid lifter engine in '72 but for a/c cars the red line was dropped down to 5600 rpm's rather than the 6500 rpm tach used on non-a/c LT-1 cars.
