Any suggestions on the most direct route?

Remove the key tumbler first,then remove the outer ring,then remove switch.

Tumblers out rings off having trouble getting at the switch. Pull it out of the center or the left side dash?

I usually just pull it back and down.
If the center cluster is out that should make it easier.
