1981 Side Emblems

Hope someone can help me with this? Found a 1981 Corvette I am interested in on Ebay. There are side emblems on left and right front fenders like on the 79 Corvette. Do you think someone added these? I haven't seen another 81 like this, Thanks

The '81 just looked a little "undressed" without something adorning that area. If it looks OK to you, just leave them there.

Neither 80 or 81, used any emblems on the side fenders, except for 80's with the optional L-82 engine.

If the car has the side fender flags found on 77-79 Corvettes, someone has added them.
