Seat back carpet question
I am redoing my seat's in my 80 and the carpet for the back of the seats has some vinyl stiched around it. My oem seat don't have this. Am I suposed to remove this boarder? They don't fit right with them on. I got the carpet through Willcox and it's ACC brand.

Just did this a few months ago with same carpet. Mine fit okay with the vinyl boarder but it was hard to keep the corners to lay flat without using upholstery staples. I dont think it looks that great with the boarder on. Wish it didnt come with it and was done like the original. Ill probably redo it down the road but I dont think you can buy that carpet insert separately from a different manufactor,but I havent really looked. Good luck!

Not sure it was mentioned I did mine years ago with the Wilcox whole interior kit , and the originals on my 80 had the vinyl wrap around and in the corners it had staples to keep it flush to the seat. Ron

Yes they do. I am reasonably certain the interior is original. I have a cheapo carpet set purchased years ago which I did not install due to the lack of quality. That set does not have the binding on the seat back squares.
