Default Engine swap idea

I have a background in Datson/Nissan, but I've always loved the Corvette. I'm thinking finding a c2 or c3 Corvette and putting a RB26 instead of a classic engine.

Has anyone done this before?

Do an RB30 out of an older Holden and stroke it to 3.2L

Im sure if you read the fine print in the ''Old Testament'', this is forbidden, lol. Swapping a SBC into a 370z is allowed, but not the reverse. Why would you want to do this swap? I suppose if you have a twin turbo RB26 just laying around, then maybe it might be ok. If the swap is frowned upon you can expect lightning strikes, swarms of locusts and all sort of catastrophes. Proceed with caution!!!, LOL.

I can't see how it would effect the car itself in a negative way, but be prepared for some giggles at the local car show.

I saw two VW bugs one time both running up front 350 engines. The back seat was taken out and the bucket seats were moved to the back. That was not funny.

Then again there is a guy onthe forum that swapped a 5 liter BMW V12 from an 850 into his C3 which I thought was pretty cool. He got flamed by purists here, too.
Do what you feel... I wonder how much handling will improve with the lighter engine!

I've swapped an LS motor in mine, but a nissan, nope. I did see a turbo 300zx motor in a triumph TR7 that was a nice fit.

the 318 dodge used to be a popular swap into MG's and a few others, looked good and was smaller then the sbc so it didnt have fit issues
