Old custom pics
Cleaning up some files and came across these pics that are from around 1974. They came from Bruno's corvette specialists in Studio Calif. I sent for the pics and the catalog in 74 when i was going my 75.
The two hatch back kits where 1500.00 each and the headlights where 350.00 it says on the back of the pics.

What's scarey is remembering those "kits" from when they 1st went on the market.
Thanks for sharing........I think.

Its a C2 but I thought it was worth posting, King Rat was done at Brunos also By: Keith Ball, It was his own car.

Terrorizing Orange Cones
Been a long time but I remember the trend to "kit" these cars to look cooler than stock.
I never caught that fever and happy with Zora and Larry Shinoda's ideas, as is. Will always love the styling of C2 and C3 cars.

Love those crazy paint schemes, wide fenders modded lights.
never see talent and craftsmanship like that these days.
Grew up during that era...street freak themed cars , shortie vans, etc.
Back when a lot of the mags were in black and white.
parents thought I was nuts, was addicted to those mags.

Melting Slicks
The first one looks like they stole the idea from a Gremlin. Wouldn't be my choice.
I have to agree with the others though, the wide fenders really look cool. You can tell it's not stock, but it doesn't scream "custom" when you look at it. The black one looks outstanding from the rear.

I still have my tattered Motion Performance catalog from the late 70's, when I bought my first Corvette. There's still pencil notes of prices, etc throughout. :
And I flipped through it and here's the fat fenders, allowing for 12" wheels as previously posted:
