Default The Lime Book

Would like to know if anybody has access to the new lime book? Had this thread going in the tech forum about a weak ago for my suffix code. Was told to find the new lime book because the old lime book does not have my suffix in it. I cant find the new one anywhere. I have an 82 with a suffix engine code of U5E. Any help would be appreciated.

"U" FIVE "E" ?????

I don't see any numbers in ANY of the codes listed in my OLD Lime book...they are all letters..no numbers and everyone that starts with the letter "U" in my book is listed as a truck engine..

I did not even know there was a NEW Lime Book...

thats as far as i can get i know the u's are truck engines just seems kind of odd that there is no suffix listed in any book. the other odd thing is there is no vin number under the engine code. Plus the engine was built in Dec and the car was built in Feb. Guess im gonna have to really dig on this one.

It is my understaning Lemon and Lime are essentially the same, but the Lime Book lists the codes in alphabetical order.

My second edition Lime Book stops with 1985. Later editions go through 1991.

LIme Book lists engine codes in alphabetical order. Lemon Book sorts engine codes by vehicle type, year, cubic inches, then alphabetical order.

Current versions (1955-1991) of both are available from NCRS store.
I do not find a reference for a U5E, but I have seen similar engine pad situations before.

Jeff - PM coming your way.

I'll let Jeff fill everyone in on what he discovers.
