Eric, to answer some of your questions, as to a radiator there is only one real answer. Go to Dewitt's for this. Great company to deal with and a top quality product. I have one in my 69 and 62. As far as other parts, I have found Ecklers to be the most expensive. I deal primarily with Dr. Rebuild, Paragon (also deal with Porsches) and Zip.
A little off topic but last year I was all set to buy a 50,000 mile 57 Porsche 356A Speedster from the original owner who is a long time friend of mine. He ended up having the car restored, but will probably end up buying it someday. Welcome to the forum and would love to see some pics of the project.
Oh and on your transmission, the original will have the partial VIN stamped on it. I believe there were a few M22 equipped non-L88 69's.

Welcome to the madness.Started a 69 big block 2 yrs ago.Was stored for the last 26 yrs was lucky to miss out on the droppings.Just got the car back on the road last Aug.At present it has a but ugly paint job and with the short amount of driving that I have done all the small problems creap out.I have found this forum to be a excellent site for information.I would also cheque Corvette Central for there parts and install information,I have found them very helpful.Best of luck for your project.
