Default Installing Emblems

My 82 doesnt have any of the emblems and there aren't any holes for them either. Does anybody know the exact location to drill these holes? And I noticed the front emblem has an adhesive on it but the rear emblem doesn't and it doesn't look like there are any threads to screw on a nut or anything. How do I install it? Thanks

Pretty sure the 82 AIM would have that information laid out for you. Do you have one?

Don't drill holes. Use double-sided sticky tape. If the emblems have **** on them, grind them off smooth. I used #7598A961 from McMaster-Carr.com. I used titanium exacto knife blades to trim any tape overhanging the decal's nooks and crannies. #35435A18 won't stick to the adhesive.

No holes for that model year...just sticky adhesive on the emblem. The AIM should provide dimensions for where that emblem is positioned.

I used 3M Super Stick from the Autozone. Cost about $7 and they've been on for a year now with no trouble.

And explains how the emblems are to be properly applied.
