I heard of a guy wanting to sell a 1973 vette project car for $700. From what i know it was running before the project was began. From the pictures i see the engine and tranny sitting on a workbench and the doors are off the car.
Any idea what the car would be worth as assuming it is complete?
How hard would it be to make a profit parting out the car piece by piece?
Thanks
If the car is a convertible please don't part it out. List it here as a project so it can get back on the road. In fact, list it here whole first anyway... that way you won't have to spend months fooling around with greasy parts and you can realise a profit and not have leftovers sitting around for years.
Mean people suck. I only paid $450 for my 1977 with a clear GA title. We regularly see projects started here for less than a grand. Why run a member off before he gets established; and why miss the opportunity to buy the thing (or parts therefrom) just because you can't be civil adults with some manners? A $700 73 which is complete enough to have an engine and trans included (of any sort or condition) excites me... if it doesn't light your fire shut up and go on to the next thread.

Mean? Really? A reference to an old urban legend for a bit of light hearted fun really offends someone's sensibilities? Please say it ain't so,this is a Corvette forum after all,not Oprah's and Ellen's Wonderful World of Political Correctness where no feelings shall ever be hurt so slightly...

I think markids77 anticipated the usual group thats on here , chiming in with their usual rude to the new member b.s. Your post reference was actually pretty funny . I apoligize if I've mis-spoke.
Sorry I missed the "urban legend" reference mentioned above. I was raised in a town of about 3300 souls where the main "industry" was dairy cattle... we didn't even have a stoplight ( not one!!!) until about 5 years ago. I have indeed lived in the teeming metropolis of Savannah Georgia for the last 20 or so years... and still I somehow missed any reference to the "urban legend" of any car deemed unsaleable due to the stench from a corpse infused in the body of the vehicle. I do apologise if I missed your reference... blame it on my upbringing.
I do not generally offer financial advice but if you can buy this car for $700 do it. I wish I had a chance at it for that. Most of us would like to see the car restored but if parted out the valve covers and distributor alone will most likely return half of your investment. Is the frame and birdcage solid?
