I can think of several other bodies I'd put on a Corvette frame before I settled on a Honda, but that being said, you've got to admire the time and effort that went into that project.
So can I...but I like this car.
So many of the young guys into cars now drool over a V-tec Honda that puts out 500HP (but has no torque). THIS kind of car opens up a whole new world to that crowd; horsepower and torque....and just maybe an appreciation for American muscle.
Back in the 80s', a buddy of mine built a couple of cars: he put a built 327 in an Opel Manta, and a 455 powered RWD VW bug. I though that was quite an accomplishment to get those cars to work right without coming apart. But this Civic sure raises the bar in my book.
Over on LS1Tech there are guys who will fit a LS engine to pretty much anything that has at least 1 wheel. That Civic would be a great daily driver. "Yes, Mr. insurance man, my car is a Honda Civic. Just look at the VIN number on the windshield pillar".
Major props to that car builder. Cutting the body off one car and attaching to another - that requires some serious skill. This almost goes in line with West Coast Customs in their version of resto-rods (cutting up a new Charger and placing an old charger body onto it).
