After years of dreaming I finally bought a 73 project car. I found it fairly close to home and it's going to need everything except paint (I hope) the previous owner had it painted and at first glance it looks good, it's got dust/dirt in it that may not sand/buff out. It really needs everything else which is fine by me.
I'm in the planning stage right now so will be searching the forum for ideas ans advice. So far ideas are:
330 hp crate motor with holly or edelbrock FI
700r4 tranny (bowtie overdrive)
rack and pinon
dewitts radiator (already have this)
wildwood brakes (on order)
I hope to make this a comfortable cruiser with some performance upgrades. I don't want to flog it, drag it or road race it. I've done that with my 96! It's the vette I've always wanted and really look forward to doing this!
Congrats!!! There's been a lot of interest in '73s over the past couple of weeks, which is awesome... Glad to see another one that is going to be saved and put back on the road... I agree with Rollie, you can't take "enough" before pictures of you project... I wish I had done a better job of snapping off a hundred pics when I got my car...
