The wife said she wanted a Vette and I found her '01 convertable. She figured out I liked C3's and she looked for several months for one for me. The man we bought the '01 from found the '68 and put me on it. She took one look and nodded her approval. We both love driving either of them and we do so very regularly. I usually do the driving unless she says she wants too, and I put a Centerforce clutch in the '68 so she would be more comfortable driving it when she wants to do so. They are "ours" though we each have our own and we don't mind sharing.
Many years ago, at a car show, she said "I want a Model A".
I asked if she wanted one bad enough to trade her Mustang for it.
She said "NO! I want them BOTH!"
So we looked around and bought a 1931 Chevy 2 door coach.
We sold it 10 years later, and bought this Vette!
It`s a tight squeeze, but I can get the door open about half way on the Grand Prix. (Yes, it`s a 69. It has a 455 in it, the original 400 is on a stand, needs a rebuild).
Oldgto thank you for the pictures of the GP it really brings back memories. I can't tell what color it is but mine was dark brown with a black top. Interior was dark tan leather. If you ever want to sell that car let me know,I mean that. Thanks again for the pics I'm keeping them.
