Hi, I have a few questions about the new front springs I ordered. I removed the old springs and found rubber wrapped around the bottom of both springs. The rubber was about 3/4 inch thick. Are these rubber things supposed to be at the bottom of the springs and should I reinstall them. The other question is I have an a/c car with a small block and it said I have to order the big block springs because of the a/c. I dont want the car to be to high.
Hi 2001,
I believe there were 5 front springs originally.
F-41, SB, SB a/c, BB, BB a/c.
There were/are rubber spacers around, but I'm not sure if they were installed on any cars in St. Louis.
The ride height issue is real; so you need to make sure just what springs you have.
Regards,
Alan

Could you provide more info about your new springs? Vendor, their part number, etc....
Hi, I spoke to Tom at Willcox and they assured me that the big block springs would be good and the rubber has to be reinstalled. The springs maybe high until they settle down. Thanks Anthony
