Fuel sending unit
Just installed a new gas tank and sending unit in my 74 coupe,when tank is full it will only show between 3/4 and full,what can I do if anything to make it show correctly?

Maybe the info posted by Wilcox will be helpful. You can get it from their website or do a search here. In a nutshell, you should be able to figure out the problem by grounding the terminals at the sending unit and watching the gauge.

Hi Barry,
I've read that the float on some sending units absorbs a little gas and thus doesn't float on the surface of the gas.... it sinks a couple of inches.
Have you looked to see if yours is on the surface?
