i have a 1982 corvette. last weekend it ran just fine. i started the car sunday to move it to get my bike out of the garage. later in the day i attempted to start, wont fire up . cracked the fuel line at the throttle body ...nothing. found a melted 10 amp fuse at the top of the fuse box. appeared to be an old wound...smelled nothing burning. popped a fuse in. found the relay....that engineer should be shot....can feel it click when the key is switched on. still no fuel delivery. my next step was to hot wire the fuel pump to rule that out. which wire is the power wire on the tank? this is a really nice car but this crossfire is starting to make me a bit nervious i almost want to tear it off and go with a carb any suggestions or help is appreciated.

might want to check that fuel pressure switch also, and the fuel pump test connector is under the hood on the ALCL plug terminal G,The location of the ALCL connector is under the center console ash tray.use a fused jumper to put 12v to it

jumping the g terminal should allow the car to start provided the pump is ok correct?
that will make the pump run.if there is a problem with the ecm the injectors wont work and the car still wont crank.
but if all else is fine then yes the car should crank and run with the G terminal jumped.
ok jumpeg g terminal no fuel coming out of the fuel line. there are three wires coming out of the sending unit to the gas tank when i removed the boot around the filler neck. one is a ground. what are the other two and should i have power to both with ignition on?
with the key on at the fuel tank the brown wire is reading 12.5 volts. the orange wire shows a pulsation and settles down at about 5.5 volts. i am starting to lean towards the fuel pump. i am assuming the orang wire runs back to the ecm?
yup went to autozone got a pump she is now making vroom vrooms. thank you chris at the toy store for informing me i didnt have to drop the tank to get it out made for a quick job. back in business thank you too junkman.
