Default 75 hood support

Does anyone have a picture of their '75 engine compartment that shows the hood support? A"person" opened my hood the other day w/o my permission and proceded to damage the hood support. I think something is missing and I can't reinstall it properly. I have a feeling it was buggered up for years and this guy happened to over stress it and it went.
Thanks, Mike

One end of the bracket attaches to the hood with (2) bolts, the other end to the support next to the radiator and an intermediate bracket I believe is supposed to attach to the fender flange where the hood seats, but I'm not sure. There are no holes thru that flange (lip) where a bolt would go thru to thread into the bracket on my car but I think there should be. Any thoughts on that?

Sorry Mike, but I am not near my car. But I will be home tomorrow night so I can take a picture and look in person if that will help.

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) shows the correct installation and lists the original GM part number for the hood support.
