Default Dinner Ride

I just wanted to share how cool C 3s are. Our club goes on dine arounds once a month. Tonight we went about 25 miles to have a great dinner in a small town. When we parked taking up most of the side of the main street with 25 Vettes a lot of people were watching this rolling car show. Mine was the only C3. Most were very latel models including 3 brand new grand sports. When I parked mine was the only one that drew a crowd and one teenage girl said that is my favorite loud enough for the rest to hear. Made me smile!!! These C3s are still Sexy even by today's standards!!!

C1, C2, and C3 will always have a spot for me. Even the new series, might be refined, don't make it for me.

I've been a member of our local Corvette club since it was organized in the mid 1980's and today when we do a similar thing or have a meeting at our usual meeting place ( a local restaurant ) the lot is filled with C5 and C6's and a few (very) C2's,C3's or C4's ..

The older cars always get checked out by the general public... they walk right past the others..

Last nights meeting was a Notable exception... the Club Members were gathering around a brand new Callaway Convertible one of our members just purchased... The General public just glanced over at it ..

What can I say..

HAHa. I didn't even think about pics. We do this every month, I will take some next time. We have a large and active club here.

We have quite a few guys with multiple Vettes and others cars, 2 guys are serious collectors with about 10 highly collectable Vettes each. So there are a lot of Early models in the club, but the late models get driven to dinner and meetings not the early ones. One guy has a '68(I think) Bloomington L-88 car he bought sight unseen last year and a virtually no miled Ford Thunderbolt along with a 67 435HP Convertible with 35K on the clock and many other hotrods and race cars. Its quite a show when they get the other toys out of the garages.
