spent today at a resort town about 20 minutes from home. Wasaga Beach is situated on Lake Huron, more specifically Georgian Bay, and is the largest fresh-water beach in the world. Think of it like Daytona of the north. Every year the local Corvette Club sponsors a fantastic get together that pulls Corvette lovers from all over Ontario. This years turn out was over 300 cars, with the weekend culminating in a wonderful cruise throughout the county. I didn't really bother taking pictures of any newer cars, except for a couple of ZR1's, since we don't get to see them "up north" too often. Just wanted to give you guys a small taste of how we roll C3 style north of the border, and extend an invitation to any of my "neighbours" who might like to join us next year.
P.S. I took quite a few picks, so maybe best to view as a slideshow
Enjoy.....all the best
Brian

Our C3 was parked beside that white Zr1 from 11.30 to 2 pm when we left. Was talking to the owner, nice guy. I wish there were more C1, 2 and 3's it's become mostly a show n shine for C5/6's. Not much in vendor parts anymore.

There she is in all her glory buddy......looked like she'd give that ZR1 a run for her money!!!
Hi Brian,
That looks like a beautiful location for some VERY nice looking cars!
The WarBonnet car looks like quite a striking car!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.
Regards,
Alan
That's it, thanks Brian! I was looking for your vette, as I knew you were going to be there. Were you in the corral or on the strip?
Alan, you are right Wasaga Beach is simply stunning, you can walk out for .5 km into lake and still only be chest deep at the most, all sand no rocks or even small stones.

Wow, just stunning! I will be having mine painted in 3 years. We'll be moving as I retire in just under 3. While we live up here I just can't resist taking it through the back (stone) roads of Hockley Valley so no point in getting it painted until we move. Will likely drop in a ls, 5/6 sp and ac so that we can take it on long trips and be relatively comfortable.
Fantastic pictures. I was judging the C4's so I didn't get much of a chance to look at the C3's to decide if I really want to tackle restoring one. As was mentioned, there were many more C5's and 6's then the rest but there were over 25 C4's there and I would think even more C3's. Judging the C4's, I couldn't believe the condition of most of them. It really shows pride of ownership as was evident in pretty much all of the cars there. The cruise was a great run especially the turn around and we had many many compliments on the entire weekend from the Friday night early registration to the end of the Gala last night. I wish I had of had the time to walk down the beach front though.. Looks like I missed some more spectacular cars.
Thanks for sharing your pics. I never realized how many Vettes lived in Oh Canada. Looked like 60 years worth.
We just did a 13 day trip through the Mid west and east USA including Pennsylvania. We saw a total of 5 other Corvettes while down there not including obviously, what was at the Corvette Museum. On any given day up here, I see at least 4 or 5 on the road. So.. we do have a few anyway.
