Wow....amazing amount of work and effort . You do first class work.

I like the way your keeping the stock appearance . I think GM did a good job with looks to begin with.

Your going to have an awesome car when your done .

BTW....I bought my car in 91 ....yup no internet and all that .....but I was smart enough to raid the GM parts houses for every part I could get my hands on that my car needed or was worn....I knew one day all the decent parts would dry up or go sky high.

Interesting PO of my car had installed a 3:70 gear in my car. I also choose to return the gear to its original 3:36 AX configuration. The 3:36 is much more livable with the 454. , seemed most of these BB cars got M21 .

Picking the body up from getting primed and sealed tomorrow. Sealer has a little orange tint in it to give the paint a deeper base.

Got it home. Prepping to get it back on the chassis. Not sure I thought I would ever get there.

Quite a journey, you've been through and the '74 looks looks great! Not sure if the thread title 'refresh' is what you' re doing now, I'd say 'restoration' applies now.

@LS4 PILOT It didn't have AC. Power Steering and Power brakes were all it had from the factory. Everything else is manual.

Feels like a major milestone. About a week away from two years since I pulled the body off the chassis. I wasn't sure I'd ever get it back on. Still a lot to do but it seems like serious

progress.

I just saw this pic in RVZIO's thread----you were encouraging him to continue with his restoration.

It inspired me (I've been "shut down" for a couple months)

Give us a little update.

I've been chipping away at odds and ends while I wait on the motor. Hoping to have the motor back in a week or two so I can get it moving under it's own power and over to paint.

Working on door hinges later. I'll take some pictures.

Slow going. I was trying to get the motor back in the car before moving it to new digs. Still waiting on the engine and couldn't wait any more. Moved the car after gutting and refinishing the garage and building a shed for the garage contents so the car could have the space.

Leaving the old garage behind.

New garage is a little tighter.

Small step: finished a hinge.

Know about tiny garage s ..my car lives in one too....not much room to work . But tiny garage is better than none . Corvette s so need inside homes.

Hope the motor shows up soon.

Bolted down the body and hung the passenger door to begin shimming the body.

Motor looks good Jeff.

What cubic inches did you wind up with?

@LS4 Pilot I stayed with the original motor and crank. It was bored but I don't know how much until I pick it up.

I have the motor home and pulled the body to finish the chassis off with the motor and other easier to install without the body parts.
