Well, luckily, no one got hurt. It could have been a little kid chasing a ball instead of a truck's trailer hitch. Doesn't that just send a shiver up your spine? It breaks my heart to see this happen to you, but you have to admit, it was your fault, and I'd say you got off pretty easy. But, as the Irish say, what's done is done, and can't be undone. Chalk it up to experience, don't dwell on it, move on with your life, and keep your eyes on the road from now on!

That '97 C5 looks pretty good. Remember it's the first year of the C5, so it has none of the better stuff the later years have; you can say that for any generation though.

At least those ugly "wagon" wheels of the first C5 have been replaced with good looking C5ZO6 wheels, a very welcome change IMCO. Remember it is like any used car, so check it out carefully before parting with your money.

So, your 17, possibly looking at buying a 1997 Corvette.......with one Corvette possibly totalled on your driving/insurance record? If I'm your agent, Christmas is coming early this year.......good luck at college.

Sorry to hear about your car, but glad you're OK. Ignore the people who feel it's OK to say whatever they want because they're on a computer.

Good luck with the insurance... hope it goes well for you!

Glad you are ok and no one was hurt. Takes thick skin to post a mistake and admit it rather than hiding it.
Best of luck.

Yeah it wasn't pretty. Oh well. Time to move on. Insurance totaled it :/ so we paid off the original loan. Paid off fees and fines and bought a super clean 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Same color as the vette(:. Buying another vette wasn't practical. It was the hardest thing in the world to see them tow away my baby.. One day I'll buy another one. But until then I'll still be on the forum. Thanks for everything guys. I wouldn't know half of what I do about C3s with out you all!

After my 77 was stolen I bought a 99 convertible. After the electronics of the car started to give me headaches I sold it and bought another C3. No electronics no headaches. Besides the C3 is nicer looking.
