Default Door Glass Roller

Hi

I've done a search for info on the door front channel roller. Most threads I found had everything removed from the door. I've learned a lot but wasn't able to find an answer to this question, (on a 1968) can the roller that slides up and down in the front vertical window channel (track) be replaced without removing the channel or glass? I am able to get to the nut but the roller shaft turns. Even if I get the nut off I don't know if I can get the roller out of the channel. Willcox's part number for the roller is 33595.

Hi cgc,
MAYBE!
I'm thinking the nuts on all the rollers would need to be loosened (but remain in place) for the glass to be able to move enough for the roller's threaded shaft to slip out of the hole in the glass.
DOUBLE maybe!?!
Regards,
Alan

I don't know if it's possible to replace a door glass roller, without removing the door glass. I just want to warn you, to make sure that any info you come up with, or receive, is specific to the 68 Corvette.

On 68's (and possibly on some 69's), the lower portion of the door glass, is shaped different from 69-82 glass. I think that the rollers are positioned the same, but to be safe, you might want to try to confirm this with another 68 owner.
