Body putty has no structural characteristics. So it will crack again and look as bad. Corvette bodies flex and will make the bondo crack, unless you are talking a very thin skin coat to level a few chips or imperfections.
Fiberglass will bond and form a structural junction and keep it all together.
Of course, you need to show the damage. Is it from hitting something , like a wreck? Or someone put a hammer through a panel?
Thanks for helping me out. So i guess i have to use the Mat and fiber resin. Got to watch out for the Deer.
Yup... looks like resin and mat in your future.
And I`d say you`re very lucky, I`ve seen a deer total the front clip of a Mack truck before! I used to drive gasoline tankers, and one of our guys hit one in some dense fog one night, bent the bumper and busted the front end beyond repair!
Well i seen the deer come out and i was going pretty fast at the time country roads. Had to floor it. It flow over my car the T Tops were off. Blood all over me and found the Antlers behind my speakers later on.

You saw the deer, and had to floor it? What are you, some bloodthirsty deer-killer? I like to shoot them with a rifle, not hit them with my car. It's cheaper that way. Anyway, with fiberglass, you can compare using the resin and fiber to welding sheetmetal together. You wouldn't try to bondo two pieces of sheetmetal together, would you? Well, there ya go.
