Default Tommy @ Wilcox

I had an unusual experience with a salesman yesterday. Since my CE is off for paint i ordered a complete weatherstrip package from the guys at Wilcox. After him figuring out exactly what i needed Tommy did not try to sell me items that i didn't need. No screws.clips, glue, or installation tools. He told me what to pick up at the local parts store for the glue and directed me to the guys at their shop who have experience with the difficult rear hatch seal. This kind of treatment makes me want to go back to them every time i need something.

Tommy is the guy i deal with usually, i order form the UK and have had numerous conversation with him on the phone and via mail, he is a really helpful nice guy!

The whole company does a great job... I have been ordering my parts exclusively from them since i got my vette and never had a problem that wasn't sorted out fast.

I really like their philosophies and practices. I have only bought two items from them, both recently and both arrived to my door on the other side of the planet as incorrect items. Just be VERY sure they are sending the right parts, particularly if you are over seas or you wear expensive freight costs. I really want to buy from them again but two out of two fails is just too much for me. I am sure it was just bad luck in my case but plenty of other vendors in the past have never sent me wrong items. My poor old power steering still isnt right.

I have bought several parcels from Willcox, I'm also on the other side of the planet.
It's been smooth sailing and they have been very helpful.
I can't find a good reason to buy from anyone else..

That is indeed very bad luck! Over the years i have placed 9 orders with them for a total of over a hundred parts and never had a packing mistake!
Only problem was a defective tach board that was replaced with no questions asked! They actually sent me a new one without asking me for the defective one first, so i wouldn't have to tear my dash down until i had a new one to swap...

Default Willcox

I have recieved excelent customer service from willcox. I bought a lock set from them that had the wrong keys in them, I needed square and they were all round. Earnie keyed som other locks and sent them to me n/c. I also had a pair of headlight actuators that went bad after 2 months, Norm said this was very unusual. After diagnosing the problem they agreed with me that the parts were bad and said they would send out a new pair and credit me as soon as they got the old ones back. I waited over a week, just got off the phone with Norm. He appologized for the mix up and is sending them 2 day UPS and including a shipping lable for the old ones, n/c. I have spent a small fortune on my 76 and will continue to use Willcox.

I've had many great experiences with Tommy. One time I got a blue leather piece instead of a blue vinyl piece. It came direct from Mid-America, but Tommy and the Willcox guys still did back flips to make it right.

I am stationed in Italy and they are the only ones I buy from. No problems at all.

Willcox has been the most knowledgable, fastest, freindliest vendor I've dealt with.

Like the previous post, they can come through in the last minute pinches that hold up a resto in ways I can't fathom other companies could.

They definately get my recommendation to anyone for all things vette related.

Let me also chime it to say they do excellent work at their shop as well at a fraction of the cost of most Corvette specialty shops, and even threw in some free parts AND installed other vendors parts that came with my car even though they said they preferred CA. As long as Ernie still keeps it open, they will likely be the only one (other than myself) to work on my '64. BTW Ernie is an NCRS member and has an AMAZING '62 (and an 80-something??) that I think may be Top Flight.

They have screwed up my orders in the past, but have always made sure to get it right. Last instance was that I ordered carpet from them and it was wrong. I had it in storage for over a year, and they replaced it no charge. I am always getting advice and tricks from Ernie whenever I talk to him. Class act.

I have only had two dealings with Wilcox, my first order came no problems, my second order has not arrived yet (after over a week), and now I'm trying to place a third order and have asked a couple of questions to Tommy which are can you get me the parts by mid week next week and I have silence. I am pulling my motor this weekend and want to change some steering parts while I have the motor out but if I can't get the parts from Wilcox which is my preferred I will look else where.

Tommy, if you are monitoring this please respond to my e-mail, I want to do business with you!
