I was just watching a Mecham auction where a finished Corvette of that vintage sold for 69,000. I honestly do think we're on the cusp of the C3s getting into the C2 price range... however, that $2000 Corvette would cost 120,000 to make into a 70,000 car... of course, that's why people say they invest in cars
That listing smells of something rather fishy.....
What a sad ending for another Corvette Bronze car....
How's it going Jer, have you decided to yank that 454 yet?
Hey Dave, Hope you are well sir. Not yet Dave. It may be down the road. I am still catching up on all the neglected maintenance from the past 13 years. Found out the tires on it are at least 13 years old. The P.O. dropped that dragster 454 in it and that was about all.
He re-installed the cracked bell-housing and proceeded to burn up the clutch. New clutch, flywheel and bell-housing. Still working on the vac system and other issues. Going to get the cylinder compression next week I hope.
At some point I will either trade out engines if I can find someone interested in such a deal. If it is all that it is said to be, it certainly isn't very street-able.
